The Misplaced Eight is a trilogy with spanning multiple generations, with the prologue of the first book being set in 1954, and the series wrapping up in 2023.
Book 1: The Courageous Escapades of the Misplaced Eight: a nostalgic, funny, and deeply heartfelt novel about eight eccentric siblings navigating secrets, survival, and self-discovery in a charming 1970s small town.
After uncovering a mysterious address hidden in their mother’s coat pocket, the Carmichael siblings—each wildly different, each hiding something—begin to question everything they thought they knew about the woman who raised them. What begins as curiosity quickly unravels into something more: a journey of discovering truth, facing fears, and learning what it really means to grow up.
Told through rotating focuses on perspectives with humor and heartbreak, this story celebrates found identity, complicated relationships, and the meaning of family.
Book 2: The Fragmented Dreams of the Misplaced Eight: a poignant story of fractured family ties, identity, and the weight of the past. As the Carmichaels step into the 1990s, old wounds and new discoveries collide, forcing them to confront what it really means to belong.
